My personal top ten books of 2022

205D4655-4E3D-4B2F-930A-884AABD0384D

My top ten reads for 2022…

I have read some great books this year so it’s been quite tricky to choose my top ten. (I’ll post our BookBubble top three books separately so I haven’t included them here)

A Terrible Kindness takes the top spot for me. A wonderful and moving debut novel from Jo Browning Wroe.

Other than that they aren’t in any particular order – there is more historical fiction than I would have guessed at the start of the year and I’ve surprised myself with a couple of thrillers making the list too. Always interesting to look back at what you have read and a reminder of quite how fabulously varied and engaging reading can be.

The One Hundred Years of Lenni and Margot, Marianne Cronin

Tin Man, Sarah Winman

My Policeman, Bethan Roberts

The Manningtree Witches, A.K. Blakemore

The Gallows Pole, Benjamin Myers

Mrs England, Stacey Halls

Exquisite, Sarah Stovell

The Fair Botanists, Sara Sheridan

Reputation, Sarah Vaughan

A Terrible Kindness, Jo Browning Wroe

Have you loved any of these?

Looking forward to more great books in 2023!
