Our BookBubble books of 2022…

IMG_9909

Another great year of shared reading with the original BookBubble.

With only our last book of the year, Do No Harm, left to discuss, rate and review, our top three reads were…

Great Circle by Maggie Shipsted
The Light Between Oceans by ML Stedman
The Volunteer by Jack Fairweather

Our list for 2022 was pretty varied, taking in historical and contemporary fiction, non-fiction, a gothic thriller and a contemporary thriller.

As well as rating each book, we also keep track of the range of our scores which can often tell a much more interesting story. It’s surprising how sometimes we are all in complete agreement, yet other times our responses can make it feel like we have read different books!  I love that we don’t always agree and we are all comfortable with that. There are so many different factors that influence our responses – the moment in time, the context, our mood, our individual life experience and even what we have just read – and that can take our conversations in unexpected directions.

So, thank you fellow BookBubblees, and here’s to many more bookish chats, dinners, walks, weekends and, to be honest, any other book(ish) opportunities we can find in 2023!
